...and off we go for stage 6! Welcome to new players Sandwhale, Snowwwman, MurphyAKL and Vitezslack!
We have some leavers from the middle leagues and a nightmarish tie-break in First Violin division, so promotions may again seem a bit deliberate in some places. I try to explain my decisions:
- Tie-Break in First Violin had the first four players with 7 points each. I did the tie-break in the following way: I compared the results among those four players and checked who got the most wins. DB.Starman and raist got 4-2 record each, so I promoted them. The other tie-breaks between two players were resolved as usual.
- In Conductor Masterclass three players had 5 points to go down to First Violin. Among themselves they all had a record of 2-2, so I went back to scored points where gustn_toh was unlucky to score the least in the relevant games.
- Since we had some dropouts around Violoncello area, I took some deliberate decisions. When there was I tie to ascend I promoted both or kept both when one was about to descend. I placed Sandwhale in the highest available division and also promoted sbaro and GregP by three divisions instead of one. This is based on experience in my past tournaments and pajada's International. GregP and Sandwhale both play in higher divisions than myself. By the same logic I placed Gavatron a bit higher than Viola. The goal is to have interesting games for everyone. Again, nobody got denied any promotion (I hope).
That's all for now, I've launched the new stage. I've done this the same way as last stage. So there are 3 games running per group now, and one player in each is without a game, unfortunately. As soon as those games pass to Age II I'll launch another 2 games each. Once the first games finish I'll launch the last ones.
Good luck and have fun everyone!
