The tournament support system for Through the ages was designed as a tool for our community to help you create and manage online competitions. We hope that you will enjoy it.
There are public tournaments, hosted mostly by experienced tournament organizers. Feel free to find the one to your liking and join it. Please, read the tournament description well, especially regarding how many games you are expected to play, as it would be nice for everyone to finish the entire tournament 🙂
You may also create private tournaments for your friends - you can directly invite particular players, or share a link that allows anyone to join. You can set various game parameters, such as number of plays, scoring system etc.
If you would like to organize a public tournaments, let us know. Please remember that hosting a tournament will require your attention and management in the weeks following its launch.

B. Hosting a tournament
1. Where can I create a tournament?
After you log in to your CGE account, navigate to Tournaments section, click the My Tournaments tab and click the Create tournament button.
2. What is the difference between public and private tournaments?
Private tournaments are tournaments you create for a particular group of people you want to play with. You may directly invite particular players, or, you may share a link to the tournament by email or to your favorite forum or community. They remain private, invisible to those not invited or having that link.
Public tournaments are organized for the entire community - anyone can see and join them. For now, several people can create public tournaments - mostly those who organized tournaments even before we supported it. If you are willing to create and manage public tournaments, too, just let us know at email@example.com, we will gladly grant you the rights.
3. Where can I find a detailed guide on tournament creation?
We are working on a detailed guide that should be available within a few days.
3. What are the steps in creating a tournament?
Here you fill in the basic information about your tournament such as its name, description, visibility, rules, etc.
In this section, you create detailed settings such as the number of players and game counts.
On this page, you manage players in your tournament, send invitations and manage join-requests.
This is where you can review how players were assigned to specific groups or assign them manually. You will get here only when you have multiple stages or multiple groups in your tournament.
Here you will launch your prepared games either all in one or split them into batches and launch them separately.
4. There is an issue with my hosted tournament. What should I do?
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do our best to help you with the issue.
