@Goldan and @ackbleh you can read about it in the description of the tournament:
Every player who runs out of time will be placed last with score 0 points independently of the score of AI who replaced them.
This will not be reflected directly on this web, final standings will be done in Google Docs manually.
If bot wins and you are 2nd, you will get 5 points (only it will not be reflected on the web).
Intermezzo Championship
- Edited
I have a weird bug : a red message on my screen : 'consistency check facile failed' with an option to send the bug to the devs. Il also suggest to not continue the game :/
Game 2 ; Wood 12
Edit : I took a screenshot in case you need it
Grobyl if the problem persists, please contact directly CGE by email support@czechgames.com
One of my latest games is showing on here as everyone having timed out now. One player (position 2) did so a while back and was replaced by a bot, but the other player (position 1) has played his turn and in the game lobby it says 'Almost your turn', but when I load the game it plays out Player 1's turn then crashes to the desktop. Another case for a support e-mail I guess
I had a reply from support and they have locked the game in question until an update with the fix will be ready in the next week or so as they can't fix it completely without that.
Wood 19 game 9 seems bucked, game says that I am in my politics phase, but order player appears to have not ended his turn and so my does not start and time is ticking down..
This question might came up often before and I apologize if you have explained that before.
In a 3p game, one player had timed out and was replaced by AI. And the final result was
(1) the AI, (2) the other player, (3) me. (How that happened was not in the scope of this question)
Does that mean in the final scoring counting:
(a) the other player got 2 points. I got 0 points, or
(b) the other player got 5 points because the first place was AI. I got 2 points for the same reason.
Right now the system proceeded with (a). But I would like to double check how the final scoring is done.
Thanks.
cookieben it's b) you'll get 2 points. The web interface is wrong here (tournament rules are different). The correct standings will be in Google Sheets.
I had the same question above. I suggest @pajada adds this precise example to the tournament description (of Intermezzo and International), because otherwise it's not clear.
Goldan Thanks for the detailed explanation!
@pajada I know you're not a dev of TtA, but maybe you have contact with them. A really useful feature would be to subscribe to a tournament group. So that when a game in the tournament finishes, you get an email notification. I like to monitor games of my opponents, as well as groups where my friends are playing.
Goldan I added more detailed example about scoring a game with AI to the description. I also added link to Google Drive where all past results can be found + link to our Facebook group.
I can mention better email notifications to CGE developers but I think they will prioritize other player's requests.
@PeaceAndProsperity and @Bigwellow you were players number 521 and 522, so I can't add you to current season (player count must be divisible by 5). But I will send you invite next time.
This was great fun! Thank you for administering this. Is there any plan for when Season 5 will launch?
