Hi @SnailZane , I just want to point out how much fun I had in stage 2. I got to play with very strong players, and really, really enjoyed the format, which definitely rewarded merit over luck.

I am not a fan of 2-players games as expected for stage 3 and (maybe?) stage 4, but I am ready to have my mind changed :-)

Stage 2 has ended with no tiebreaking results needed, and groups for Stage 3 are visible now.

I've noticed games 41 (finished) and 52 (prepared) in group 2 have the exact same three players: Kolo, totsilence, and Eske.
Is that intentional?

Eske We intended to avoid these coincidences as far as we could, but in CGE‘s matchmaking system there are so many limits for us 🙁

Hi SnailZane, I'm quitting TTA for a while so I'll be dropping out of the tournament, apologies! What's the most elegant way for me to do this?

Kolo Hi Kolo, that's fine, thanks for letting us know. It's best for other player's experience if you could finish the remaining games you have, but resigning from them is also okay (just make sure to avoid abandoning🙂). And since you decide to drop out, we won't include you in the Final stage if you'd otherwise qualify -- in case you change your mind, please inform us anytime before Stage 3 ends!

Hi everyone, with Stage 3 finished, we would like to announce some small changes in the list of players going into the Finale. @silent_x111 has declined to play in the Finale, despite ranking 3rd in Group 1. As such, for sake of fairness, we want to include the 4th places from both groups in the Finale - which would be @SnailZane from Group 1 and @Zulda from Group 2. For this reason, the Finale will now have 7 players, and each will play six 2p games, three 3p games and four 4p games (following the conventional patterns), encountering everyone else in the group exactly 4 times.
For the purpose of tiebreaking in the Finale, Rule (2) will apply whenever Rule (1) is inapplicable or inconclusive.
