rap2 I don’t know if it is possible but I think it’s best to have the players alternate in 1st and 2nd in the first 4 games.

rap2 DANeo discuss something about this before 26 days. It's very hard to get a conclusion on that 1st or 2nd player has more advantage. Even if CGE has TTApulse data, the data would be influenced by inexperienced or non-top players. I have an idea that one more extra blitz game is acceptable for the top 16 players.

rap2 you may noticed that in Stage 1 each player played 2 times from 1st seat and 2 times from 2nd seat. That's not a coincidence but it was done programmatically.
For Play-off it will be the same - starting player will alternate and the player who played from the 2nd seat in the 5th game will play 3 times from that seat. So it will be as fair as possible.

Hi @pajada, we do have a bit of an issue as our running game with @Zelbot is frozen. I contacted support but I fear that we get kicked out of our game before they can do something about it - is there by chance any way for you to pause the timer of our game? Thanks a lot for your help (and for organizing this!)

Hello. When will the tie breakers be reflected in the group standings? I am not 100 % sure I understand them correctly, but I think they haven't been applied yet.

FWN I think tie break rules applies automatically. At least in your group I can see that everything is correct as you lost your game with the bigger percentage margin than your opponents.

FWN Hi everyone, @xRen1101 is right - CGE was kind enough to implement tiebreaker rules for World Championship directly on their tournament web pages (here). So the results you can see are the final one.

quite understand the difference between score, points and culture from the description. But I just found the example in the comment section.

Well, at least beating the 2nd most experienced player online is a little win for me. Not the easiest group. 😁

@pajada Hello, then I dont understand why FWN is 3rd while according to my reading of the rules he should be 1st (he has the highest culture win from head to head tied-players games. ?

gorozei-12ans group with FWN looks good, it is not relevant how big your win was in head to head games but how small your loss was (in percent):
gamblerch 240/282 = 85%
CrownKiller 107/127 = 84%
FWN 137/201 = 68%

LeonidasI the head-to-head game is decisive when points are even between 2 players. You lost to Amorin and therefore he goes through.

LeonidasI it indeed looks like there is a mistake, manually I got these results:
Leonidasl 173/196 = 88%
Amorin 210/249 = 84%
LittleBob 82/163 = 50%

so you should advance. I contacted CGE and will ask them to provide fix as soon as possible.

Firedart But is this not a three way tie between Amorin, LittleBob and me? Each have 4 points and two points against each other. So would not the tiebreaker rule set in?

LeonidasI apologies - I hadn’t noticed that Littlebob had the same points too. I’m not sure, I’ll have to defer to @pajada as I can’t quite get my head around what’s meant by “Average winning score only from head to head games of tied players”.

I think it might be because Littlebob and Amorin had higher winning scores in their games that involved the 3 of you? Amorin scored 193, Littlebob scored 249, and you scored 163.

@Firedart there is no definition (or mathematical formula) for the « average winning score from head to head games » therm in the rules so it has to be the only meaning it can be : each tied player makes the average points of each of their win against other tied players.
So for exemple In case of tie 3-1 between 3 players, like you said the average is just over one (winning) score.
if it’s tie 2-2 between between 4 players, the average will be over 2 (winning) score.

@pajada hmm I just saw ur formula in the discussion section, I really think it needs to be in the rules for future events, I lost my group just bcz of that ( I resigned in the last game of my group - group 111- thinking I qualified doing this while I just had to finish my game even with only 1culture...).

You do really great work with all your tourneys but this is really a shame to have such unclear rules.

gorozei-12ans I'm really sorry to hear that. I tried to make rules as clear as possible, even send them to some players to review them. I will add the example from this discussion thread to the rules before start of Stage 2.
