Hi,

When will be announced the next season? Will current players be invited to join the next season or should they check the forum to see when it is created?

I suppose that the results of the current season after the adjustments that CGE does not contemplate will be also published somewhere.

Thanks for the effort of organizing this.

While One Turtle Speed would make the tournament more enjoyable for some, it would also mean that some other players wouldn´t be able to join the tournament anymore, because One Turtle Speed is not easy to handle if you have not so much free time. Therefore I think the current game speed is perfectly fine as it allows more people to join this great tournament.

Weidenbaum I agree. While it is slow sometimes - you really need 12 hours for international players. Most moves seem to happen while I'm asleep in my timezone - so when I wake up I've usually only got a few hours to get my moves in - and normally have to do it during work hours. A faster game time would make it much more intrusive to play - particularly with multiple games and balancing life's commitments.

Hello! Since this season is almost over, when will the next season start? Do we have to join or is it automatic? If it isn't automatic, do we get a notification about the upcoming season?

We will keep 2 turtle speed (thanks Weidenbaum for great explanation).
Next season of International Championship will start on August 30. I will send invites to all players who played this season once all games from this season are finished.

Two turtles is fine.
I'm from Greece and in my group I had people from Australia and St.Louis US...
It would not be possible to play a faster game.
To add to that, I have to say that the time difference is the main reason why the games are slow
and not the speed of the game it self.
Nice Tournament, I got beat up for good! I'm waiting for my invite!

I am new to tournaments, and thank you for your detailed description of this one. I am unfamiliar with this format, so is this more of a regular season than a championship with a single winner? For instance, you helpfully stated that we play "four 4-player games and three 3-player games (7 total games) over approximately 2 months." This is what I would call the "regular season." But afterwards, what happens besides promotion, staying still and relegation? Is there a championship at the end based on final league standings? I don't believe so but just wanted to double check. Thank you!

Crazybastard77 just promotion and relegation based on your final position (like the Premier League). No final championship.

This will be my first Tournament. Do I get placed in wood league and have to win my way up, or is there some sort of placement matches? I might be more skilled than wood league players and the matches could end up being very one sided.

CleanerCode I carefully seed new players based on their in app level and win percentage. There is a chance you will start in Bronze.

Hello pajada, thanks for organising this! I participated in the last season but I didn't get no notification. On CGE Online I only had the app notification on, I turned the e-mail notification on as well now. Will I get a notification for the next season or do I have to keep a look out for it? Thanks again!

berpdreyfuss you should get also the email notification now (but sometimes it goes to spam...). To be sure you can visit directly the tournament page https://account.czechgames.com/tournaments/detail/21 between November 13 and 26 when sign up for the next season will be open.

@pajada I guess that seats are randomly assigned, is that correct? Have you considered, and is it technically possible, to assign seats in a more structured way? Since everyone plays four 4p-games, it is possible that everyone has 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th seat all exactly once . Similar for the three 3p-games.

weisswurst Yes, seats are randomly assigned because CGE tournament mode doesn't allow to seed players on exact seats in a game. I can ask CGE developers if this is possible and if they are willing to implement it.
