Not sure they can fix it before my timer expires.

    If a player times out, do all their games score at zero or just the ones where they timed out?

    I’m in a scenario where a player timed out in multiple games (Player A), except in one 3-player where they beat me. The other rival for lead in my pod has taken more time between their turns, so this provided more opportunities for Player A to time out. That indeed happened, with Player A’s source of 5/6 points being in the one game with myself.

    i feel that I’m at a disadvantage for not taking more time between my turns/not making an effort to play when Player A was available, relative to Player B. However Player B truly beat me in the game we completed. I think the single point in question may matter for winning my pod.

    I'm aware of weaknesses of this solution (your example) but it is more fair than other solutions. In general I don't like time outs as they ruin the experience.

      I’m biased though in it being the best solution right now. Perhaps you can consider if a player times out that they are disqualified from future tournaments unless they rationalize it to you. I have a feeling such players without a good reason would not take the time to bother, or at least the majority of them.

                Mkucharz If your rival took longer to play his turns, it should rather help Player A to play on time, unless the rival somehow timed their turns unfavorably for Player A.

                        SvenRutabega there will likely be a new tournament page for WC 2025. Rules are probably staying more or less the same but structure for next year is still under consideration. Depending on final tournament structure, we expect sign-ups to begin some time in September or October
