When do in-game timers start?

Do they start when the tournament software creates the game? Or only once all players have joined the game from the lobby?

It starts when tournament software creates the games.

That's unfortunate. That just doesn't work for blitz games at all. I'd like to see an option for games to start when all players have joined.

blitz games are not currently fully supported. When you try to create a blitz tournament, you will receive the following warning:

"Warning: Creating tournaments with Live games is not recommended!

In Live games, there is a higher risk of players dropping out of their games unwillingly. This risk increases with faster games or when playing multiple live games at the same time. Especially, there is a great chance the players will time out before they realize their game started.

If you decide to run a tournament with Live games, moderators and players should always agree on a time when each single game would be launched manually. Remember, that it might prove difficult to reach such an agreement with players from different time zones.
