          So it says you aren't supposed to time out. My opponent conceded with 2 turns left after I declared war on him to try to steal my win. Other tournaments I've played you get banned for that.

          In my book, conceding is perfectly acceptable. It is not only something that people should take into account when declaring war, it prevents king making scenarios. You received 7 points and should be content with that considering you didn’t wait until the last turn.

          More importantly, resigning is literally laid out in the rules in no uncertain terms.

          BradSwan whenever you declare a war you always have to take into account that your opponent may resign and it is perfectly within rules for him to do so. Sometimes it is even correct to declare war against second best target because of this or make the timing of war so that it is ageIV in my opponents turn, because you cannot resign in ageIV.
