I am in Silver 10 this Season of Internationan Championship even though I won last Season in Silver 11. I thought that I will start in Gold this Season?

wallimaendu looks like you finished second in the final standings. Did you factor ‘timeout’ results into the final standings? (ie players who finish behind AI-controlled players actually get more points than indicated on the website).

wallimaendu results on this web are not always right, we have stated that also in the description of the tournament:
Every player who runs out of time will be placed last with score 0 points independently of the score of AI who replaced them (example for 3-player game: when AI won, it will receive 0 points and the better human player will receive 5 points, the worse human player 2 points).
This will not be reflected directly on this web, final standings will be done in Google Docs manually (after end of championship).

@pajada We have a situation on Bronze 14 in which one of the players forgot to construct his army after changing tactics (players are onerija, me, Amorin, and Drannoc). I am trying to discuss things internally with other players. So if we come to a conclusion about alternative placement in that particular game, can we let you know to change the points received in this game?

I will probably also need agreement from other players (each player can send me a friend request in app and then write me message that they agree with that, I don't know about any other way how to prove their identity).

pajada Turned out the extra points received from that WoC didn't affect the final ranking (the winner-apparent still won by 1 point!).

According to the rules, the player who become an AI will be placed the last even if some players are defeated by it. I strongly agree that the AI should gain 0 point, but why not calculate other players' points regularly?

I think the current rule may not always be fair. Suppose a player who loses every game against all other players and AIs (just an assumption), is it really proper to give the player 2 points only because another player in a 3-player game runs out of time?
With the present rule, most of the pacts might go to the AI (and actually only the player side is benefited), and the player right upside don't need to worry anything about the cards the AI may be able to take either, because other players don't need to care about the AI's ranking at all. I think this may also create unfairness.
It may not always be so convenient for players to check the Google Docs for some reason (especially for us in China), so it may be easier for players to check their rankings if we follow the official rule under situations like this.
I know that the rules will remain unchanged at least before the end of this season, so it's just a suggestion free of the interest of myself. Hope it'll be considered. 🙂

SnailZane perhaps we can get a designated person to replicate the rules in Chinese? For player standings it might be better to assign all players a numeric code to quickly find the standings

SnailZane the rule about AI scoring 0 points and being moved to the last place in that game is rule older than me being the organizer of this tournaments. You presented good arguments against it, but both solutions have props and cons.
In case there is AI replacement in your group you can always calculate how much points you and others have in hand. It take some time but all the information is available.

Dunedain I'm sorry my English is so poor, but what I wanted to mean is that, to be brief, in Gold 8 game 11 (a 4p-game, in which a player runs out of time but the AI won the 2nd in the end), the four players should get 6-3-1-0 or 6-1-0-0. Hope you'll understand me 🙂

Hello, is resigning a game while being attacked by a war over culture considered as bad sportmanship when the CP won by the war will likely change the stronger player's final position in the game?

Lawful I'm only an ordinary player, but I think it's ok, if he is way stronger than you and you find you will never be able to win a higher place that game. This is part of the rule, and he should have thought about your possible resignation, just my thought 🙂

Lawful resigning in your case is totally fine, I would even say that players should resign in hopeless positions more often. In this season one player resigned even in Master division, so it can happen to anyone. Good luck in your next game.

pajada Thanks for your reply, indeed both solutions have pros and cons, and it might be better to keep the rule unchanged. One more question, if more than one player resign or abandon the same game, will both players get 0 point or will the player resigns later get 1 point? What if the resignation is before or after another player becomes AI?

All players replaced by AI score 0 points.
Because I can't easily detect if player resigned before or after replacement, resigned player are always above AI players in game standings.
If more players resign, they are ordered correctly by time of their resignation as app provide this info.
