I'm up for accelerating the pace a bit by reducing the reserve time.
In my opinion, it's not really comparable with other major tournaments
- considering it's only one game per stage (unlike 6 or 7 with other tournaments),
- and it's a 4 player game, so by the time it comes back to you it's likely that approximately a day has gone by.
In the end, it's not so time consuming.
I just finished a game where it was so long that it was frustrating. You tend to forget your general strategy and waste time putting the pieces back together at every single turn.
But I understand that people signed up for a defined set of rules and settings, and changing midway might be forceful.
