I have a suggestion for the tournaments. If all but one player abandons/times out of the game, that last remaining player should not be penalized for abandoning the game.

It's not just an issue of assigning the -1 points correctly, but as a tournament admin I actually can't tell who abandoned first. All players are marked as EXPIRED.

Japhet That last human player playing can resign and he will be marked as RESIGNED which in my opinion solves the issue.

pajada I don't think that's an ideal solution though, since I now have to communicate this to all players and some will forget. I'll pass it along though and appreciate at least having a workaround for now.

Japhet They can also play the game with AI til the end.
Also do you know that AI move is computed on client device, so if there is only one human player I don't think he can that easily time out. He would need to jump to the game, compute move of AI and then don't play his turn to start the timer.

pajada Right, but the concern here is for players who do not want to play vs AI and choose to abandon.

But you highlight another issue with tournaments which is that the last player can pause the tournament indefinitely by not allowing the AI to take its turn.

Japhet Yes, CGE is aware of it and they will fix it in the future. If this happens now you need to contact them directly on support e-mail.
