Before tossing a coin in case of a tie, how about counting the first-place finishes each tied player achieved and using that as a tiebreaker? That change would not affect the first round in progress, and it seems like a fairer solution for future rounds.

Thanks, sounds like a good suggestion. We could also count points or point difference for future rounds. This is not really fair, either, since a lucky draw of opponents or cards could favour one player or the other, but it is arguably more objective than me tossing a coin. I really hope this situation doesn't occur.

I hope not! So far, so good, no timeouts up to now. The reserve time might save you here, as long as you don't spend a weekend in the outback. 🙂
This was also made to prevent that we all have to wait for three days because someone is ignoring his sign-up for whatever reason. I might have adjusted playing times a bit, for example 6 hours reaction time, but only 24h reserve. Next time. 🙂

Sorry, my sister came to visit over the weekend, and this is a lot of manual work. There is also no notification that all games have finished, I have to watch this space continuously. Will send out the invitations now.

There were too many timeouts in the first round for my taste. I hope the players left are more reliable so that we have a fair competition. Enjoy and Game On!

It looks like I’m automatically signed up for round 3 but I’m pretty sure I was knocked out after finishing third in round 2?! (I mean I’d happily play, but just want to make sure I’m not wrongly taking someone else’s spot!)

Ricicle This is the easiest way to move from one stage to another. I invite everyone from the previous stage and then cross out all players who are out before I seed and launch the sessions. There was a delay because of that strange result where everyone seems to have timed out, which is why you were previously counted as "signed up". It should all be good now, next round is launched. Some strong players got a difficult seeding and are out (notably silent_x111 and JeJenan and maybe myself), some lower ranked players can play on, especially maiquelPS and rvanloon as players below rank 30. Quarterfinals are played, and I can only imagine competition gets ever tougher. I would love to be able to watch those games, but unfortunately you'll have to play this in private. Good luck everyone in the semis!
I forgot to put everyone in one group like in the earlier stages, but I guess it doesn't matter too much now.
