Interestingly, we had an extensive conversation in my first-round game, including all 4 players. It was interesting to see everybody's thoughts. The problem with all of these things is that you still don't know what players will do!!! :-) Adds to the game I suppose. IN our group it went well.

Gr33ny Yes, most groups did not co-operate. But the ones who did, all passed. But it is not always like that, the more groups that co-operate the less that chance you have to pass. It's a matter of trust, good communication. Not easy, but an extra aspect to the game. And a lot of players do not read the rules at all. They just want to play I guess :-)

@zadokk for sun tzu group stipulation. Is it just different type of tactics ignoring duplicate (displayed in common tactic area)? Or the different tactic cards played in the game by players including duplicate (only in game logs)?

yliu386 Indeed, ignoring the duplicates. So the ones displayed in the common tactic area at the end of the game.

fathope Hi, unfortunaltly you do not pass, since your teammate ended last and red player roxasven came in second. So you will not pass unless you win a stipulation or be a lucky player.

zadokk hi, if u look into our conversation we all agreed I'm the red player? The other two were cooperating against me and I still finished first. We have discussed the rules within the team chat before even. How am I not the red player if I was red in the game? Maybe you have overseen the colours, or did we misunderstand the colours somehow?

fathope Now I understand the confusion. The Red Player is the one who is "red" in the Google doc. you will see that each first player of that doc is in Red. Sorry for the misunderstanding. You were in a 2 versus 1 game. One team against a lone wolf.

They have cooperated against me and were sharing info and making pacts. Maybe you can verify with the other two players and let me have the win in this case? Thanks

yliu386 no, they do not need to be in common. So tactics played on last turn also count.

zadokk for group stip, the tactic boosted by Sun Tzu is treated as separate tactic to the one not boosted correct? for example fighting band with and without Sun Tzu are counted as two different tactics. In normal game there is 17 different tactics, 18 if count Sun Tzu boosted.

yliu386 Indeed. Sun Tzu adds another tactic to the count. This is counted as an extra one!

I do not think so. The rule says "different played tactics", Sun Tzu upgrades a tactic, but it's not a new tactic, it's the same card, like any other upgrade. When Great Wall upgrades an infantryman it is not a new unit, nor is Fleming's upgraded opera house a new building. I think the maximum should be 17 tactics.
It also says "played", when you play it from your hand the card is no different even if Sun Tzu's benefit is applied to it later.
