Hi, I love the system, which brings the TCL tournament kind of to more players and allows faster advancing in the ladder thanks to incorporating Glicko. I see however a significant flaw in the rules... If a weaker player would want to climb to the top of the ladder, the best strategy would be to start with a low Glicko account, earn a lot of easy wins and increase his glicko rating once he gets a lot of these easy wins. This way one could get a significant lead by playing easy low rank games and could stay on the top even after loosing several games on the top. This could be frustrating for other players. I think that the challenge here is how to allow players advance faster in the ladder while making this tournament something else than just another Glicko ladder. I would suggest to only consider last 10 games when determining the points. This way it would be a bit more fair although late joiners would still have some advantage. Since I would expect one round to take a month (there will be some slow players), the ladder would show one's one year journey (perhaps it could be even 12 games if we think that one round is one month).
